The NYPD is trying to track down a man accused of sexually assaulting a woman as she slept in a Harlem park, police told Patch.
A 32-year-old woman was sleeping inside Marcus Garvey Park on Sunday when an unknown man touched her buttocks and groin over her clothing, police said. The woman woke up when the man cut her pants with a sharp object, police said.
The suspect is described as a man standing about 5-foot-10 and weighing 175 pounds, police said. The man is balding, has a beard and was last seen wearing all black.
Anyone with information is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
