Due to heavy snow that will create slick and hazardous travel conditions, New York City Emergency Management has issued a Hazardous Travel Advisory for tomorrow, 2/9.
The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning for New York City due to heavy snowfall. The warning is in effect from midnight until 6:00 PM on 2/9. The current forecast calls for 6-12″ of snow, wind speeds of 10-20 mph with gusts of 35-40 mph, and visibility of one quarter mile or less.
The City of New York Department of Transportation, in conjunction with the Department of Sanitation, announced that Alternate Side Parking regulations will be suspended citywide for tomorrow, 2/9. Payment at parking meters will remain in effect throughout the city.
