The organic grocery store hinted at it earlier this year, but today Whole Foods regional president Christina Minardi issued a press release announcing that the chain will open a 39,000-square-foot store in Harlem. The store will occupy 39,000 square feet within a new construction at Lenox Avenue and 125th Street, and will open in 2015. Minardi also announced that Whole Foods will open on the Upper East Side, at 87th Street and Third Avenue, with 38,000 square feet of retail space, as early as 2014. That address puts it just four blocks away from the nearest Fairway. [Earlier]
