Visual Arts Faculty Show Opening At Harlem School For The Arts

Meet the artists

Ray Jones is an Illustrator and Graphic Artist living in Brooklyn, New York. He is a graduate of SVA’s highly competitive Illustration as Visual Essay program. He has exhibited work in galleries in New York, San Francisco and LA. Ray has also worked commercially for Sony UK, Esquire Russia, The New York Times, Bloomberg Businessweek, The Seattle Stranger and National Geographic among others. He is currently a Visual Arts Educator at The Harlem School of the Arts.

Shanon Weltman is an Artist and Visual Arts Educator living in Brooklyn, New York. She recently earned her MA in Art Education from NYU Steinhardt, and has an artistic background in illustration and painting. Her brand Shanon Diamond has been sold at Cotton Candy Machine’s Roebling Fair, Better Than Jam, Brooklyn Collective, and online on Etsy and Society6. She’s taught Visual Arts all over NYC since 2010 and is currently a Visual Arts Educator at The Harlem School of the Arts, and P.S.66 in the Bronx.
