Two New Twelve Story Buildings Coming To Harlem

July 26, 2018

NY Yimby reports that permits have been filed for two 12-story buildings at 212 and 224 West 124th Street in Harlem, Manhattan. The site is in the heart of Harlem, near Adam Clayton Powell Jr. Boulevard, and three blocks from the 125th Street subway station with the A, B, C, and D trains. Moses Strulowtiz of the CS Real Estate Group is behind the applications.

The 112-foot tall structures will yield 234,840 square feet, with 227,000 square feet dedicated to residential use. 216 units will be created, averaging 950 square feet apiece, which would mean rentals or condominiums. 120 parking spaces will be included, consuming 21,600 square feet of the building.

There are two architects on record for the development. Victor Body-Lawson is listed for 212 West 124th Street, with 224 to be designed by Fischer & Makooi Architects. This project is a unique opportunity to totally redefine West 124th Street between Fredrick Douglass and Adam Clayton Powell Jr Boulevard.

Demolition permits have not been filed yet. The estimated completion date has not been announced.
