TV One Honored With The Walter Kaitz Foundation Award At 2018 Diversity Week

TV One received the esteemed 2018 Diversity Champion Award at the Walter Kaitz Foundation Dinner, and co-sponsored both the National Association of Multi-ethnicity in Communications (NAMIC).

That included the Women in Cable Television Leadership (WICT) Conferences held during Diversity Week in New York City on October 15-17, 2018, at the New York Marriott Marquis Hotel. TV One General Manager and NAMIC’s Board of Directors Immediate Past Chair Michelle Rice also served as the Honorary Co-Chair for the NAMIC Conference.


One was recognized as an industry leader for its efforts in supporting diversity and inclusion at the 32nd Annual Walter Kaitz Foundation Dinner, held at the New York Marriott Marquis. Urban One Founder Cathy Hughes, Urban One CEO Alfred Liggins, III, Michelle Rice, and TV One executives joined notable leaders from the media and cable industry to celebrate the milestone achievement.

Urban One/TV One executives received individual honors and were featured panelists recently throughout TV Diversity Week. Liggins and Rice were saluted at the Cablefax Breakfast honoring the 2018 Most Influential Minorities in Cable. LaTanya Butler, TV One’s VP of Marketing and Partnerships, Content Distribution and Marketing; Michelle Rice; Rahsan-Rahsan Lindsay, TV One’s EVP, Ad Sales and Marketing; and Lori Hall, TV One’s SVP Marketing participated on NAMIC and WICT’s Leadership Conference Panels. TV One also received three NAMIC Excellence in Multicultural Marketing Awards (EMMA’s) at the Cablefax Breakfast in the following categories – Marketing Tactics: Film/Video, First Place, UNSUNG LIVE; Marketing Tactics: Television, Second Place, When Love Kills: A Falicia Blakely Story; and Integrated Marketing Campaigns, Third Place, When Love Kills: A Falicia Blakely Story.
