The Best Day, Family Day Celebration At A&E’s Riverton Square In Harlem

August 23, 2023

Harlem’s historic Riverton complex celebrated 76 years with a Family Day that drew hundreds of its residents for BBQ, music, costumed characters, inflatable games and family-friendly entertainment last Saturday afternoon.

The annual party was hosted by the Riverton Tenants Association in co-sponsorship with A&E Real Estate, which has managed Riverton since 2015.

The festival was held in the Riverton Square courtyard, and residents were joined by Yusef Salaam, Democratic Nominee to represent the 9th District in the New York City Council.

“This is our favorite day of the entire year at Riverton. We are so proud to sponsor Family Day with the Riverton Tenants Association to bring our neighbors and community together. From our youngest kids to our seniors, Family Day has something for everyone. This is what summer in Harlem is all about,” said Maggie McCormick, President of A&E Real Estate.

“The RTA Executive Board and Event Committee have been planning this event for months! It’s something every family looks forward to and it’s a way to bring everyone together to build community. I want to thank the RTA Executive Board, A&E, tenant volunteers, and residents of the Riverton community for making this event possible,” said Jacqueline Spellen, President of the Riverton Tenants Association.
