Harlem Hospital Center’s Mural Pavilion will welcome up to 500 K-12 students and their families preparing for the new school season at “Cool for School” on Sunday, August 23, 2015 12-4pm.
All attendees will receive “golden tickets” prior to the big day at Harlem Haberdashery and Paw Prints of Harlem (“Cool for School” event partner locations).
“Cool for School” is a collaborative effort with the #TakeCareofHarlem non-profit group offering various community engagement and advancement programs including: Feed 500 (the bi-annual hunger awareness program) and Arts Lives Harlem (art based programming for Harlem/Upper Manhattan based youth).

12:00 – 12:30: Welcome/Registration
12:30 – 1:00: Harlem Jeopardy (Trivia about Harlem’s rich history and culture)
@ Terrace (Upper Level)
1:00 – 1:30: Group fitness (group exercises for kids and families)
1:30 – 3:00: Arts & Crafts, face painting, create your own binder, and bracelets
3:00 – 4:00: School Supply Distribution including: backpacks, notebooks, pencils, pens, etc.
Live DJ and refreshments by Vitamin Water all afternoon.
