Statement From Harlem Rep. Adriano Espaillat Marking One Year Since Attacks Of October 7th

Representative Adriano Espaillat issued the following statement:

Marking the one year since Hamas attacked Israel on October 7th, 2024.

“Today marks one year since the devastating terrorist attack by Hamas that killed nearly 1,200 people. On this solemn day, we embrace the families of the remaining hostages and join with the entire world in mourning and honoring the innocent lives lost on October 7th.” 

“… hostages who remain, including the four Americans …”

Representative Espaillat continued, “Together, we must continue to fight to bring home the hostages who remain, including the four Americans, Edan Alexander, Sagui Dekel-Chen, Omer Neutra, and Keith Siegel, and ensure their return and reunification with their loved ones.” 

“… to ensure this never happens again …”

“I remain steadfast in my efforts and collaboration with the Biden-Harris administration and as a co-chair of the Latino-Jewish Congressional Caucus, that we do all it takes to bring humanitarian resources and stabilization to the region to ensure this never happens again,” said, the rep. Espaillat.
