The new film LUTHER: Never Too Much will return to the Dwyer in Harlem and run Fri. 11/29, Sat. 12/30 and Sun. 12/1 the film will also be going to Beacon, NY to play at The Yard, Sun. 12/8 and Mon.12/9.

All shows will feature a screening of the award winning film LUTHER: Never Too Much, a Luther original art photo & poster exhibit curated by famed curator Micheal Ricardo, a Luther tribute singers at the 7 pm screenings, food by SMOK’D Chicken (creating Luther’s favorite meals) and the ability to purchase unreleased Luther music and merchandise. Harlem tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door. Beacon, NY tickets are $25 in advance and $30 at the door.

The Film

Luther: Never Too Much from award-winning filmmaker Dawn Porter, the film chronicles the life and career of the iconic artist Luther Vandross as he charts his own course, becoming one of the most decorated and influential singers of all time. The film features new interviews with a wide spectrum of artists whose lives were deeply touched by Vandross, including Mariah Carey, Jamie Foxx, Richard Marx, and Dionne Warwick, as well as over 40+ years of painstakingly curated Vandross archival footage. After the film’s World Premiere at the 2024 Sundance Film Festival, the film made stops at the Tribeca Festival, Hot Docs International Film Festival, and Nantucket Film Festival, among many others. The film is set to release in theaters throughout North America this fall and will premiere on CNN, OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network, and Max in 2025.
