On Friday, April 12, 2019, from 6 PM to 9 PM, Harlem Congregations for Community Improvement, Inc. (HCCI) will present “Harlem Inspired! A Gospel Benefit Concert” featuring Bishop Marvin Sapp, a 10-time Grammy Award nominee and has received 22 Stellar Awards, two Soul Train Music Awards, two BET Awards, two Dove Awards, and eight BMI Songwriters Awards. Harlem Inspired! will also feature performances by the Phillips Brothers, ARC Choir, soloist Tara Birkett-Bramble, with Praise & Worship by Tyrone Richardson. Hosted by Gerald Kelly of the Gospel Allstars, this amazing event will be held at the historic Canaan Baptist Church located at 132 West 116th Street in New York City.

“HCCI is thrilled to bring one of Gospel’s brightest stars to Harlem while highlighting many local talents,” said Rev. Keith W. Roberson, M.Div., Chair of a gospel benefit. “This is an awesome way to engage the community while raising funds to support HCCI’s impactful programs.”

Proceeds will benefit HCCI, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit interfaith consortium of congregations established to revitalize the physical, economic, cultural, and spiritual conditions of the Harlem community. HCCI has made a substantial impact on the social and living conditions prevalent in Harlem by developing low to moderate income housing; creating supportive health and human service facilities and programs; providing commercial development opportunities to local businesses; and expanding cultural programs.
