New York and Atlanta families came together on Saturday, February 24th, for an exclusive screening of Apple TV+’s “Snoopy Presents: Welcome Home, Franklin” at AMC Theaters.
Both screenings featured heartwarming introductions of Franklin Armstrong, the first Black character introduced in the iconic “Peanuts” universe.
Now, nearly 55 years later, we celebrate the wonderful journey of Franklin as he stars in his very own animated special, “Snoopy Presents: Welcome Home, Franklin” presented by Apple TV+.
The New York exclusive screening was held at AMC Empire NY and was co-hosted by Harlem’s Fashion Row’s owner, Brandice Daniel, and her daughter Sky.
Attendees to the NY screening included celebrity photographer, Johnny Nunez, artist Panama Da Prince, ONE/35 Agency CEO, Shante Bacon, and their respective families.
After introducing the history behind Franklin’s creation, Brandice Daniel shared an inspiring story about Harlem Fashion Row’s sold-out Franklin clothing line created in collaboration with fashion brand, Tier.
She added depth and relevance to the event emphasizing the importance of diversity and inclusion in the fashion industry expressing how Franklin’s inclusion in The Peanut Gang empowers and impacts children like her daughter Skye.
Snoopy Presents: Welcome Home, Franklin, is a must-watch for longtime Peanuts fans and newcomers alike.

Atlanta
The Atlanta event was hosted by Radio Personality Shamea Morton and took place at AMC Madison Yards.
Also attending the Atlanta AMC screening were Kandi Burruss, Todd Tucker, Ming Lee, Lena Huggs, Akilah Murib Coleman and their respective families.
Following the film, children eagerly took pictures with Franklin, while parents expressed their appreciation for finally seeing Franklin’s story and his warm welcome into the “Peanuts” gang.
At both AMC Theaters, attendees were treated to complimentary concessions, balloon art by Blow It Up Productions (Atlanta), Clowns.com (New York) and Apple TV+ swag bags containing worksheets, crayons, and Franklin stickers.
