May marks Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AA and NHPI) Heritage Month—a time to honor the contributions of communities to our shared history from Harlem to Hawaii.
It’s also an opportunity to reflect on our commitment to improving access and reducing language barriers for AA and NHPI individuals.
We’re excited to announce the launch of our new page, “Outreach Materials for People with Limited English Proficiency (LEP),” featuring resources in Chinese (simplified), Vietnamese, and other languages. This initiative aims to promote our LEP services and provide essential materials to diverse language communities.
In addition, we’ve created instructional videos in multiple languages to assist individuals in accessing Social Security services and information. Our commitment extends further with free interpreter services available in over 200 languages, ensuring everyone receives the support they need.
