New York State Senator Cordell Cleare is delighted to invite the community to her third annual Eid Celebration, which will be held in Harlem on Saturday, April 13th, 2024.

The vent will take place from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Children’s Aid Dunlevy Milbank Center located at 14-32 West 118th Street in Harlem.

This special event, marking the conclusion of Ramadan, brings together a diverse array of attendees including Assemblyman & Assistant Majority Leader Charles D. Fall, City Councilmember Yusef Salaam, and other esteemed elected officials and community partners. The celebration aims to honor the cultural significance of Eid al-Fitr, observed by 1.8 billion Muslims worldwide.

Senator Cleare has been a dedicated advocate for celebrating Eid within Harlem’s community for over 20 years, and this annual gathering is a testament to her commitment to inclusivity and cultural appreciation within the 30th District.

This year’s Eid Celebration holds particular significance as it embraces the “new” New Yorkers, including migrants and asylum-seekers, who are part of the vibrant Muslim population in the 30th District. Many of these residents originate from Central and West Africa, and for them, this will be their inaugural Eid celebration in America.

Senator Cleare’s office has been collaborating closely with various community organizations and local businesses to ensure a warm and welcoming experience for all attendees. This event not only celebrates religious traditions but also fosters unity and solidarity among the diverse communities that enrich Harlem’s cultural tapestry.

Join Senator Cordell Cleare and fellow community members for an evening of joy, fellowship, and cultural appreciation at the Children’s Aid Dunlevy Milbank Center. Together, let’s celebrate the spirit of Eid and the vibrancy of Harlem’s diverse community!
