This year’s Easter Sunday celebrations ushered in a host of events. NYC hosted a number of events that prepare everyone for the spring 2014 season.
This time I was at the Easter Parade and Bonnet Festival in NYC on 5th Avenue. Every Easter Sunday, Harlemites, New Yorkers sport their most unique bonnets and march up Fifth Avenue.
The pageant has been a NYC tradition since the 1870s. This year’s parade took place at St. Patrick’s Cathedral, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m, on April 20, 2014. The parade route stretched from E. 49th to E. 57th streets. We need to bring more Harlem style to the event, so let’s start planning now for next year.
