On December 30th, 2023, Seitu Oronde, the accomplished photojournalist from Harlem, documented poignant moments at the National Action Network (NAN) in Harlem, NY.

This particular NAN Saturday rally marked the culmination of events in 2023, notably featuring the departure of Ms. Katrina Jefferson, who resigned from her position as the executive director of National Action Network (NAN). She made this decision to relocate to California and provide assistance to her mother, necessitating the move. Reverend Bird is set to assume her role in the organization.

Reverend Al Sharpton expressed his optimism about Reverend Bird taking on the responsibilities of the executive director position. The transition reflects a new chapter for NAN, with faith in the leadership capabilities of the incoming executive.

During the event, attendees presented a cake to Ms. Katrina Jefferson as a gesture of appreciation and farewell. The images captured by Seitu Oronde beautifully encapsulate the emotions and significance of this farewell event.
