Salters Scene: SummerStage 2014 Preview

City Parks Foundation presents SummerStage & Santa Monica Pier Twilight Series Preview Showcase on January 9, 2014 at the Highline Ballroom.

SummerStage provided many free shows throughout New York City’s parks in 2013. There summer line-ups are always filled with talented artists. There were shows in Central Park like Joshua Nelson,The Prince of Kosher Gospel and the 40th Anniversary of Hip-Hop Culture with DJ Kool Herc. In Harlem’s Marcus Garvey Park there was a great R&B night with Bilal, Vivian Green and Chrisette Michele. Then there was the Jazz weekend which takes place in Harlem and the Lower East Side of Manhattan. This is just a sample of what happened in 2013.

Getting ready for 2014, City Parks Foundation SummerStage & Santa Monica Pier Twilight Series Preview Showcase will feature Country, Pop and Blues group Hurray for the Riff Raff, Roots Reggae and contemporary Cuban Son group Rebel Tumbao and DJ Joaquin Joe Claussel.
