The legendary Jazz Bassist Ron Carter celebrated a birthday this month. Then after his birthday, gathered with some friends, associates and select media at the Carlyle Hotel to celebrate his new book Ron Carter Finding The Right Notes and announce the beginning of his new Foundation – The Ron Carter Finding The Right Notes Foundation.
Mr. Carter, who was joined by Russell Malone on guitar and Renée Neufville, played some music to begin the special night. Mr. Carter then put the bass down for a conversation with Artist Danny Simmons and singer Renee Neufville which led to a Q&A with the attendees.
Some of the highlights of the dialog were the Ron Carter Finding The Right Notes book release. Mr Carter talked about some of the contents of the book. Danny and Renee talked about their support and the roles they will play in helping Mr. Carter getting the The Ron Carter Finding The Right Notes Foundation off the ground and working with schools to help bring the arts to students.
