December 2nd was the official opening night at Art Basel. Dubbed Art Loves Fashion, the VIP Opening Night at the Spectrum with Burberry & Art Hearts Fashion was a huge night.
The Spectrum tent housed talented artists and their work from all around the world. Like Cuban artist Darian Rodriguez Mederos, whose paintings are so realistic it looks like a photograph. Guests viewing the art work also took breaks to come outside side and view the performances and fashion shows.
Island Def Jam recording artist Cris Cab was the performer lead in for the fashion show. The runway shows featured the designs of s Amato Haute Couture, House of LiJon Sculpted Couture and Mister Triple X by Erik Rosete.
The show began with looks from House of LiJon, a great fusion of art and fashion. House of LiJon was born in 2011 when Artist Lia Mira began to sculpt metal and crystal into functional fashion. A perfect way to compliment a night of entertainment and inspiration.
