Saturday, July 27th, 2024, was the grand showing for New York Swim Week 2024.

Dubbed an immersive exploration of the enchanting aquatic universe of “Swimtopia,” with the theme – Everything is Chrome. The extravaganza was held at the Life Time Skydeck and was hosted by Founder & CEO of Influencer Stock Exchange, Peter Gordon and Miss New York USA 2020 Andreia Gibau.

Vendors like C4 Energy and Smart Water played a critical role in providing the media, crew, models and attendees with the energy and hydration to power through the afternoon and evening of swimwear fashion shows. Spotted in attendance among the beautiful people was Esmeralda Baez, entrepreneur and author of the bestselling book Reset and Reboot: Regaining Mindfulness.

After cooking for a while, and sitting in the sun waiting for the festivities to begin, the hosts stepped on the stage. The stage was set up near the side of one of the listening pools, with a walkway that extended over the pool. New York Swim Week Founder and CEO Evita Scoccia joined the hosts Peter and Andreia on stage to kick things off.

There was only one break in the action to separate the afternoon and evening shows.  Going from 2:30 PM to 7:30 PM the models ripped the runway, adding more heat to an already hot day. A diverse range of collections took center stage: Bikini Edit by Katie Nordhoff, My Generation, Bathhouse by Bernard L Moore Jr, MLC Swimwear, Rosina Mae, By Sarasty, Cocora Shop, Undressed Boutique, Haitian Doll by Jobella, Origin of Oceans Kathleen Bily, Sahai Swim by Sahai Lacasse, Sunlight Lover by Kelsey Kay, Fide Apparel, Soiree Miami Beach by Ally Nissan, Emerald Swimwear, Empire Collection, Derpienski Official by Caroline Maria Derpienski, Fly Avir. Although there were various colors and styles of women’s swimwear, there were some options on the runway for men as well.

Bold, chic, luxurious, sexy, comfortable, and eco-friendly are some of the words to describe the swimwear in the different collections. Versatile, is another word that could describe the By Sarasty collection. The By Sarasty fashion show started with the designer dressing and redressing a model quickly on the runway, showing different looks that can be worn on the beach with one outfit.

The final show of NY Swimweek 2024 was the Evita and Elizabeth & Co collaboration: Evita X Elizabeth & Co. New York Swimweek Founder and CEO Evita was the showstopper, as she walked the runway with a cute wallaby peeking out of her bag. Yes, a wallaby! A cute seven-year-old wallaby named Piper. This unexpected, adorable addition brought a touch of whimsy to the event’s conclusion, as the sun dipped below the horizon, leaving behind a magical memory on the Life Time Skydeck.
