As New York City has done for years, the Veteran’s Day Parade took place on Fifth Avenue in Manhattan on Tuesday, November 11. This year’s Grand Marshall was Former NYC Police Commissioner and U.S. Marine Corps Veteran Raymond W. Kelly.
Like other Parades in New York City the politicians come out to show their support. Mayor Bill de Blasio was seen walking in the Parade, as well as the NYC Police Commissioner William Bratton.
It was a perfect day for the thousands who lined Fifth Avenue to salute the Veterans and current serving military personnel from all branches. 2014’s Veteran’s Day Parade featured service was the Marine Corps.
