“The Salon Hang” 2017 Arts Fundraiser Uptown

Friday, October 13th through Sunday October 15th, 2017, Fort Washington Collegiate Church presents “The Salon Hang: Grace –Diversity-Community”, an Uptown arts show and fundraiser for their community based arts & youth programs. The exhibit’s mission is to affirm faith in Northern Manhattan/Washington Heights/Inwood community using art.

“The Salon Hang” submissions are from local artists in two categories, Adults 18th and Youths 17 and under. The submissions consist of various different mediums including paintings, drawings, watercolors, print-graphic arts and sculptures all based on the theme of “Grace-Diversity-Community”.

FWCC located at 729 West 181st street is committed to artistic expression and the community it serves. This three-day art exhibit and fundraiser to be held in the glass pavilion of the recently renovated FWCC, celebrates the inspiration of the divine connection to God in the community with the opportunity to showcase the artists of Northern/Upper Manhattan young and old.

“The Salon Hang” opens Friday, October 13th with a sponsor reception. Saturday, October 14th, 2017, is the youth presentation and on Sunday, October 15th, 2017, there is a “talk back” with the featured artists.

Suggested donation for the “The Salon Hang” is $10 for Adults and $5 for Children. Reception tickets prices are available at http://www.fortwashingtonchurch.org on the website. Fort Washington Collegiate Church is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and your gift may be tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
