The Orchestra Now (TŌN) offers a FREE concert at City College Center for the Arts at Aaron Davis Hall in Harlem.
The performance is part of the ensemble’s popular Around Town series, which attracts dynamically diverse new audiences of all ages.These free community outreach events have become crowd-pleasing neighborhood activities and are a great opportunity to introduce families and new explorers to the joys of classical music. The April 20th, 2018, concert will feature artistic director of the Orquesta Filarmónica de la UNAM, Mexico City and the Flanders Symphony Orchestra, Bruges Jan Latham-Koenig on the podium and showcases Schubert’s Unfinished Symphony with masterworks by Vaughan Williams and Prokofiev.
In the 2017-18 season, TŌN presented four other free performances as part of the Around Town series in Manhattan: Cooper Union (October 1), Symphony Space (November 19 and January 21), and Cooper Union (March 16).
