Join El Museo, artists Maximo Colon and Marcos Dimas from our exhibition ¡PRESENTE! The Young Lords in New York will be in Las Galerias discussing their work.
On 104th Street between both museums, check out a live performance by George Emilio Sanchez, uried Up To My Neck While Thinking Outside The Box. Sanchez reprises his original outdoor work in a free-wheeling, ongoing performance in which he is buried in a mountain of trash sprinkled with signs that state, “Trash=Art” or “Art=Trash.” Music all night by DJ Turmix with video projections by Nat Castañeda. Throughout the evening check out chalking by FEEGZ & crew and participate in art making in the courtyard!
At the City Museum, join a gallery tour, dance to DJ Grandmaster Caz spinning hip-hop, funk & soul, and enjoy chalk art by Kady Perry.
