The NYPD has temporarily halted their search for a teen who jumped into the East River at 103rd Street on Sunday night until the morning, leaving many of the boy’s loved ones in disbelief.
NYPD’s Harbor and FDNY’s Marine units responded but suspended their search shortly after 1:30 a.m. Monday. A NYPD spokesperson said they will resume looking for the boy after sunrise.Sources tell PIX11, the 15-year-old’s family members say he leaped into the water near the Ward Island’s Bridge around 11 p.m.
No word on why the teenager entered the water.
