The organization was formed to provide aid to Female Soldiers/Veterans. We‘re a two Female Veteran Task Force Carmen and I, helping Female Soldiers/Veterans and their family who are desolate and despondent. We troubleshoot their needs then provide immediate and emergency assistance. We advocate on their behalf, provide immediate resources through referrals and/or physically representing them and their families with/to training programs, housing appointments, employment agents, completing VA claims applications, counseling MST (Military Sexual Trauma, C/PTSD (Combat/Post Traumatic Stress Disorder), Anger Management, Suicide Prevention, Parenting and Marriage counseling. We will foster support and nourish self sufficiency for single mothers in the military for a healthy Family Care plan if deployed. We Adopt the “No Female Soldier/Veteran left behind’ attitude. NO Membership fee but there’s a MWIP commitment to our group and that is to provide the same humanitarian service she received from one of our advocates to another female soldier by becoming an advocate to another female soldier, “Paying it Forward”, internal Soldier to Soldier sponsorship program, lean on each other for support.
The City fills many of its positions through the Civil Service Process, a process guided by the New York State Civil Service Law, which is in place to help ensure that the hiring process is competitive and fair. The City uses employment examinations to measure a potential candidate’s merit and fitness for a particular title. In most instances, taking an exam is the beginning of a hiring process that may lead to employment with the City.

Employment Requirements
Candidates must be at least 21 years of age at time of appointment.
Candidates must have a High School Diploma or GED.
Candidates must pass a character and background investigation.
Candidates must pass a drug screening.
Candidates must meet certain medical and psychological requirements.
Candidates must reside in one of the five boroughs of New York City.
Candidates must pay a $75.00 fee for fingerprinting as part of the investigation process.
Candidates must be eligible to obtain NYC Special Patrolman status upon appointment and become certified as a NYC Special Patrolman within three (3) months of appointment. Special Patrolman certification must be maintained for the duration of employment in this title.
Candidates must be a United States Citizen.

Uniform allowance of $668 annually

MILITARY BUY BACK
Federal and state laws allow members to purchase service credit for time spent in U.S. Military service – the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act (USERRA) and Article 20 of the New York State Retirement and Social Security Law (RSSL), respectively. Under Article 20, the cost is 6% times the number of years of military service being purchased times the salary you earned during the 12 months prior to the date of your application. Under USERRA, the cost is the equivalent of the contributions required if you had never left for military service. No interest is charged on military buy-back.
