On April 24, 2016, Live to Love International, along with over forty other Himalayan organizations, will come together for “New York to Nepal,” a walk to mark the one year anniversary of the 7.9 earthquake that struck Nepal one year ago and demonstrate continued support and solidarity with those effected. New Yorkers will again come together to support, and demonstrate solidarity with, the community, just as they did in the aftermath of the earthquake. More than 2000 people will walk to pay tribute to those lost and honor those who continue to feel the impact of the tragedy.
Prior to the walk, there will be a short program featuring remarks from a young survivor of the earthquake, as well as local, religious and cultural leaders.
Members of the public are welcome to join.
Sunday, April 24th, 10 am
The event will commence and conclude at Pier 16, 89 South Street, New York, NY 10038
