New York Cares kicks off its “Extra Day of Care,” initiative on February 29th, 2024, collaborating with West Side Campaign Against Hunger, to pack food for those in need.
Dozens of volunteers will gather at the organization’s Manhattan location to assemble meals for distribution.
This “Extra Day of Care” is just one of over 40 volunteer projects offered by New York Cares throughout NYC that day.
Opportunities range from feeding the hungry and supporting seniors, to educating youth and promoting health initiatives.
The organization encourages New Yorkers to embrace the spirit of the Leap Year and use this additional day to make a positive impact.
Whether it’s volunteering, performing acts of kindness, or engaging in other community-minded activities, every individual has the power to contribute.
