New York Cares, in collaboration with UPS, will distribute 400 winter coats to elementary students at PS 171 M-Patrick Henry on November 29, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. EST.
The coat distribution is part of the 35th Annual Coat Drive, aiming to collect over 100,000 coats this winter.
The event includes remarks from Sapreet K. Saluja, Executive Director of New York Cares, and Laura James, Vice President of Community Relations at The UPS Foundation.
The campaign encourages donations and offers various collection sites and options for supporting the cause individuals and organizations can set up a coat collection or a virtual Coats+ fundraiser.
WE ❤️ NYC and local sports leagues are also joining forces to contribute to the coat drive, supporting New Yorkers in need during the winter season.
