New TD Bank Charitable Campaign Launches in Harlem

ComputerClass1Bring Change, is a new TD Bank program that celebrates the spirit of giving and the impact that small change can make on a community.

Beginning in Harlem, 500 of TD Bank’s Penny Arcades will collect and count change for one week to fund local organizations and people making a difference in their community. Harlem-based Our Children’s Foundation (OCF) is the program’s first recipient.

Key Details:

  • The Bring Change campaign begins May 4, and will run through February 2016 (ten months).
  • Donations for Our Children’s Foundation will be collected via the Penny Arcade at the Harlem TD Bank store located at 300 W 125th Street from May 4 – May 8 to kick off the program. 
  • TD Bank will also award Our Children’s Foundation and each designated Bring Change organization / recipient a $2,000 grant.

Our Children’s Foundation has enriched the West Harlem community for 30 years by providing a stimulating and safe after-school program to 350 students across NYC, primarily from West Harlem. Open until 7 p.m. six days per week, during the hours when violent crimes are likely to occur, OCF students choose a major in a variety of subjects (law, computer science, music, etc.), take classes in etiquette and receive college counseling, which includes touring campuses across the country.
