New Grant For Uptown And Other Community Organizations By The New York-Presbyterian

March 4, 2024

We’re thrilled to share that NewYork-Presbyterian has launched an exciting new initiative – the NewYork-Presbyterian Mini-Grant.

This three-year funding opportunity is specifically tailored for community-based organizations (CBOs) operating in New York City and Westchester.

The Mini-Grant program is designed to provide financial support to small non-profits that focus on promoting healthy lifestyles among New Yorkers.

In its inaugural year, the grant awards $5,000 to selected organizations, with the potential for renewal in subsequent years.

Renewal amounts increase, offering up to $7,500 in the second year and up to $10,000 in the third year.

“… addressing social determinants of health within their communities …”

This progressive approach aims to sustain and bolster the efforts of local CBOs that play a vital role in addressing social determinants of health within their communities.

Since its inception in 2011 in Northern Manhattan, the Mini-Grant program has grown significantly, extending its reach to support numerous grassroots community organizations across New York City and Westchester County.

These organizations have been instrumental in developing and implementing impactful health and wellness programs tailored to the unique needs of their neighborhoods.

As part of our ongoing commitment to community health, we are encouraging CBOs to seize this opportunity and apply for the Mini-Grant before the approaching deadline on Friday, March 8th, 2024.

Priority will be given to programs serving communities in Harlem, Crown Heights, Corona, Lower East Side/Chinatown, Washington Heights, Inwood, Mt. Vernon, Peekskill, and White Plains.

“… highlighting their specific health-related challenges and needs …”

These neighborhoods were identified based on findings from our comprehensive 2022 Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA), highlighting their specific health-related challenges and needs.

For detailed information on eligibility criteria and key dates, interested organizations are encouraged to visit our website at www.nyp.org/capacity-building/mini-grant or reach out to us via email at minigrant@nyp.org.

We are excited to support and collaborate with CBOs dedicated to promoting health and wellness in their communities, and we look forward to receiving your applications.
