New Book Features Harlem EatUp! Logo Design Firm

harlem eat up1Celebrating culture, food, and music, OCD was charged with designing the logo for the inaugural Harlem EatUp! festival.

logo lounge bookThe challenge with designing this identity was avoiding typical clichés associated with Harlem, notes OCD creative director Bobby C. Martin.

Turns out, all Martin’s team needed for visual reference was right there in their back yard, which happens to be in Harlem—from the architecture, to the signage and storefronts, to the mosaic tiles found in the subway stops. All of these elements played a factor in the resulting logo.
