My City Park Reading At A Harlem Near You

MCP at Brooklyn Public Library 1My City Park! a book and Lyrics by Brooke Boertzel and Melissa Gordon starring Diana Fox and Sophia Holtz.

Children will learn the importance of shared community spaces as they sing along to songs that celebrate New York City!

This 60-minute musical tells the story of Milo that finds out that his favorite city park is going to be torn down and replaced with a shopping mall, he seeks out the help of his two best friends, Odessa the Owl and Bucky the Squirrel. This educational performance features puppetry, original songs and audience participation.

All performances are FREE!

  • Saturday May 30, 1:00pm, Jackie Robinson Park, The Bandshell, 89 Bradhurst Ave. W. 146th St., Harlem
  • Saturday, June 6, 1:00pm, Marcus Garvey Park, near Acropolis, Madison Ave, E. 120 St. to E. 124 St. Harlem

My City Park performances are funded by Manhattan Borough President Gale A. Brewer and New York City Parks and Recreation Department. MY CITY PARK is also available for in-school, after-school or culture venues residencies.
