Meek Mill is in police custody after participating in illegal dirt bike activity. The 30-year-old hip hop artist was arrested for performing stunts in the streets of Harlem, reports TMZ.
The rapper was charged with reckless endangerment by NYPD at 10:16pm on Thursday after he was seen riding without a helmet and doing wheelies.
Authorities say he was a danger to himself and public safety on the road.
According to fans, Meek posted an Instagram story documenting the night where motorized bikes raced down the street being pursued by police cars.
Meek’s Instagram story begins with the legend ‘Harlem’ over a video of a dirt bike racing past a convertible.
The camera pans to an excited onlooker talking as a few riders with helmets sit on their dirt bikes.
Soon the video cuts to a green and white dirt bike riding on it’s rear wheel past the crowd of onlookers.
Another dirt bike follows doing the same ‘pop-a-wheelie’ as a police car pulls up the rear in pursuit of the bikers.
Robert Rihmeek Williams, better known by his stage name, Meek Mill, was raised in Philadelphia, PA.
In 2008, Atlanta-based rapper T.I. signed Meek Mill to his first record deal.
Mill began dating rapper and singer Nicki Minaj in early 2015, which may have caused feuds with other rappers such as Drake.
