A 21-year-old man died after he was shot in the face outside a Harlem apartment building Friday, according to cops and relatives of the victim.
Witnesses said a gunman walked up to the victim and started blasting on W. 141st St. near Frederick Douglass Blvd. about 1:50 p.m., firing off two shots.
“I couldn’t see his face … he was all blood,” said Access-A-Ride driver Jose Mora who happened upon the grisly scene. “He was lying face up shot in the face. There was a gallon of blood trailing to the corner of the sidewalk.”
“Whoever wanted him, wanted him dead,” added Mora, 47.
Paramedics rushed the victim, whose name was not immediately released, to Harlem Hospital. Relatives gathered at the hospital said the victim died there.
Another man standing with the victim scrambled away as gunshots rang out but tripped on the concrete and hit his head, police sources said. He was treated and released stated source.
There were no immediate arrests.
