As part of my office’s statutory ULURP (“Uniform Land Use Review Procedure”) responsibilities, we will hold an official public hearing on the Mayor’s proposed rezoning of a large swath of Inwood in Upper Manhattan at 6:00 pm, Tuesday, April 10, 2018, at IS 218, 4600 Broadway (enter on 196th St.).
The Inwood rezoning proposal was “certified” by the Dept. of City Planning on January 12, 2018; Community Board 12 held its hearing on February 22, and voted to disapprove the rezoning on March 25. My office is required to issue an opinion by April 25, and this hearing is part of that consideration. (The City Planning Commission must decide by June 26, and the City Council must vote by August 26, 2018.) Those testifying in person on April 10 are asked to deliver remarks of two minutes, and to submit a written version (of any length) or a two minute video to inwood@manhattanbp.nyc.gov for adding to the public record.
