A man died in shootings in Harlem, New York, late Thursday, witnesses and police said.
Gerard Woodley, 46, was shot in the head on West 139th Street Near Malcolm X Blvd., in Harlem just before 11:20 p.m., police said.
“It was three shots fired. They were back to back,” said neighborhood advocate Lesha Sekou. “They were pretty loud and I heard one scream. Then the noise dissipated. When I came out, no one was out(side).”
Woodley was rushed to nearby Harlem Hospital but he could not be saved, police said.
