She launched and she lunched. Daily News columnist Linda Stasi launched her second book “Book of Judas” with a star-studded afternoon get together at Rao’s, which isn’t normally open for lunch.
But since Stasi and her power-lawyer husband Sid Davidoff are long time Rao’s patrons, the famed Harlem eatery opened for the book bash, where best-selling author Nelson De Mille also launched his latest work “The Cuban Affair.”
Attending Stasi’s party were CBS stars Lesley Stahl and Gayle King, Pix11’s Kaity Tong, “Good Day New York” host, Rosanne Scotto and former Newsers Jim Rich, who’s now the deputy editor at the HuffPost, and Don Kaplan, who works for Gov. Cuomo.
Barnes & Noble chairman Len Riggio, who’d earlier in the day attended a book signing for Hilary Clinton’s, “What Happened,” also came to Rao’s to congratulate Stasi and sample the eatery’s famed lemon chicken.
Rao’s owners assured us they had no interest in making lunch a daily thing and also said they were phasing out the one day a year when reservations are made available to the public. Now you’ll never get in.
