Historically, Fashion Week serves as the time of year where Harlemites, New Yorkers and visitors alike are dressed to impress as they attend the various presentations scheduled over the course of the week. Fashion Week is a time of the year where the streets of NYC are filled with Fashionistas and Fashiongents in search of the hottest fall fashions, chance celebrity sightings, and a dose of the infamous NYC nightlife!
Fashion Week 2014 launches with the hottest fashions and fashion trends slated for fall 2014! New York City will be the place to be! This February, every designer, from couture to pret-a-porter will showcase their upcoming collections setting the tone for trendy fall fashions!
The week generates an excitement and love for fashion in anticipation for what’s to come. Will hemlines be long? Short? Cut on a bias? Form fitting? More importantly, which time period(s) will we celebrate for the upcoming season? Thus far, Spring/Summer ’14 has offered us a retrospective glimpse into the 1960’s and 1980’s traditional styling trends, with a modern twist of course.
As every fashion must process through the fashion lifecycle, it becomes inspiring to witness the reinterpretation of funky styling trends! 2014 has kicked off with edgy, yet nostalgic fashions including this seasons’ 60’s Mod fashion and the return of oversized one-shoulder t-shirt styles in neon hues from the 80’s!
