Just about 30 minutes from Harlem, join the Fort Tryon Park Trust and NYC Parks for a Wonderful Wednesday, a car-free summer night!
Enjoy more space to play with the closing of the park’s drives from 6-11 pm EST.
We’ll have kids’ games, dance lessons, line dancing, and a screening of a classic film to be enjoyed by all ages, The Wizard of Oz.
Pack a picnic and head to the Cloisters Lawn for the activities or take advantage of extra room for biking, running, or jogging!
Set your watches, here are the times:
- 6 p.m. Fort Tryon Park’s roads closed to vehicular traffic
- 6:30 p.m. Dance lessons for all ages & kids’ games on Cloisters Lawn
- 8:15 p.m. The Wizard of Oz movie screening at sundown, including special guest
In the event of rain, we will cancel by 12:00 Noon and reschedule the event.

Please note that parked cars need to be removed from the park on 8/4 by 5:00 p.m.
