Actress, activist and scholar Yara Shahidi plays popular teen Zoey Johnson, an ambitious, technologically infatuated high school junior. For her role, Yara has been nominated for a Teen Choice Award, awarded an NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series and is the recipient of a 2016 Gracie Award for Female in a Breakthrough Role.
