Join West Harlem Development Corporation Summer Senior Employment Program

April 23, 2015

DSC_0038-2-1024x678Building on the success of the program over the past two years, ReServe and West Harlem Development Corporation are pleased to announce the return of the Summer Seniors Employment Program (SSEP). SSEP connects residents of West Harlem, age 55+, with rewarding part-time summer employment opportunities at nonprofit organizations throughout New York City. This is a unique opportunity for participants and hosting work sites alike. Participants are given the opportunity to utilize their existing talents or perhaps learn new skills while earning a modest stipend, and hosting nonprofits are able to hire participants for 120 hours each at no cost.

Thanks to the patronage of organizations such as yours, we are back for our 3rd summer. If you are interested in participating, please follow the instructions as indicated below.

You are invited to attend a special meeting on Friday, May 15th to learn more about this year’s program, including information about the available talent pool, placement logistics and how your organization can become a host site. Below are the meeting details, please RSVP by Friday, May 8th to Natali Ramirez at nramirez@westharlemdc.org or 646-476-3394.

Friday, May 15th, 3:00 – 4:00pm

The Hamilton Grange Library

503 W. 145th St. (Between Amsterdam & Broadway) – Auditorium

If this is your organization’s first time participating in SSEP we recommend you attend the meeting to learn the full program scope. Returning host sites are welcome to attend as well. If you are unable to attend or send a representative on your organization’s behalf but you are still interested in participating as a host site, please email Noelle Minter at nminter@fedcap.org or call 646-412-6502.
