Today, Harlem’s Land Yoga, NY YOGA + LIFE™ Magazine, and Three and a Half Acres Yoga announce its third annual SOULFest NYC, a free day-long yoga and wellness festival.
The festival celebrates the diversity of the individuals who practice yoga and wellness in New York City. The festival will take place on Saturday, July 13, 2019, in the Adam Clayton Powell State Office Building Plaza in Harlem and will feature a new and compelling program.
Local yoga experts including Faith Hunter, Lara Land, Bre Scullark, Pilin Anice, and other special guests will offer classes on yoga and meditation. Fogo Azul, a New York City-based all-women Brazilian Samba Reggae drum line group, will also perform during the day’s activities. A new Kids’ Zone will also be inaugurated this year where children will be able to experience yoga, art, and music.
To mark its third anniversary, SOULFest NYC 2019 will bring yoga enthusiasts from the tri-state area together to attempt to break the Guinness World Record for “Most People Performing a Warrior I Pose”. This year’s event will allow participants to make history by bringing together 400 people to hold the easily accessible yoga pose.
Giving back to the community is an important part of SOULFest NYC and Festival attendees are encouraged to donate to the event’s long-standing charitable partner, Three and a Half Acres Yoga, a nonprofit organization that brings yoga, meditation, and mindfulness techniques to the most underserved residents in upper Manhattan.
SOULFest NYC is free and easily accessible by public transportation. The event will run on Saturday, July 13 from 9 am to 6 pm at the Adam Clayton Powell State Office Building Plaza located at 163 West 125th Street in Harlem and is open to all ages. General admission is free and VIP tickets are available for purchase. For more information on SOULFest NYC, the program schedule, or to purchase tickets, please visit www.soulfestnyc.com.
