Honoring this year’s theme, Our Voices, this year’s Ethnic Festival will be filled with wonderful live performances including Dilamstronauta Jazz Quartet from the National Jazz Museum of Harlem, the Marcus Garvey Park Drummers, AUC Lion Dancers, artistic belly dancer Aisha, and the Folklorics Estampas Preu. Youth activities include a basketball tournament, a sneaker art battle, a fashion show, and pony rides and a wild animal zoo in Union Settlement’s garden. Delicious multicultural cuisine and one-of-a-kind art and handicrafts designed by local vendors will also be on offer during the day’s event. Now celebrating its 22nd anniversary, this annual East Harlem event continues to expand to showcase the neighborhood’s growing diversity. For more information, visit http://www.unionsettlement.org/.
