Split sider reports that Conan O’Brien kicked off his week of shows in New York last night, which included the above segment following O’Brien as he meets up with Harlem’s legendary hip-hop stylist Dapper Dan to get some style tips and eventually a full-on swag makeover. “This isn’t working for me. And I’ll be honest with you — this has never worked for me,” O’Brien admits about his current fashion sense, which Dapper Dan describes as “casual…it’s okay if you’re passing through.” After trying on several outfits that catch his eye, O’Brien finally allows Dapper Dan to put his expertise to work, and the result is extremely impressive.

Dapper Dan can now say he’s styled everyone from Salt-N-Pepa to Conan O’Brien, which is to say he can handle it all.
