On Monday, May 23, NYCEDC will open applications for its International Innovators Initiative (IN2NYC). In celebration, Deputy Mayor for Housing and Economic Development Alicia Glen and NYCEDC President Maria Torres-Springer will tour the Zahn Innovation Center at the City College of New York, a CUNY startup incubator and one of the IN2NYC partner institutions. IN2NYC facilitates partnerships between international entrepreneurs and CUNY schools, enabling entrepreneurs to qualify for cap-exempt H-1B visas, grow their businesses in New York City, and create jobs for New Yorkers. Deputy Mayor Glen and NYCEDC President Torres-Springer will also be hearing short business pitches from student entrepreneurs working out of the Zahn Innovation Center.
