HW Pick: Travel Channel’s New “Night Crawl NY With Jawn Murray”

April 18, 2015

timthumbThe Travel Channel has tapped TV Host, Pop Culture Commentator and Harlem Fave Jawn Murray to host a new series called “Night Crawl New York with Jawn Murray.” The five-episode series focuses on New York nightlife venues and premiered this week on the network’s digital platform TravelChannel.com.

“Having covered pop culture for years, I’m always trying to discover places where the cool, hip crowd would lounge; as well as venues that have celebrity appeal. The five venues we used to kick off ‘Night Crawl New York’ embody just that,” said Murray.

“Night Crawl New York with Jawn Murray” is the first TV project to bear the Editor-in-Chief of AlwaysAList.com’s name. The series was shot by acclaimed cinematographer Francisco Aliwalas and produced by Travel Channel executive Pamela Sealy.

Earlier this year, Murray also hosted a series called “NFL Fan Pass” for NFL Network’s digital platform during Super Bowl XLIX in Phoenix, Arizona.  The Washington, DC-based talent has made a half-dozen appearances on the nationally syndicated “The Meredith Vieira Show,” as well as being featured for a fifth time on “The Wendy Williams Show” Hot Talk Panel.

When Murray is not busy he’s hanging out at the Apollo Theater, chillin with one time Harlem resident Sherri Shephard, or at a listening party with “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star Demetria McKinney at COVE Lounge.
