An 18-time Grammy Award winner, Tony Bennett has sold millions of records and entered his seventh decade of performing to critical acclaim for adoring audiences around the world. His 2007 TV special, Tony Bennett: An American Classic, won seven Emmy Awards. Bennett has had two dozen songs in the Top 40, including “I Wanna Be Around” and “The Good Life.” Bennett is also a Kennedy Center Honoree, New Jersey Hall of Fame inductee and an NEA Jazz Master.
Bennett has introduced a multitude of songs into the Great American Songbook. His series of Duets albums have been platinum-selling releases, as well as Grammy winners. His current album with Lady Gaga, Cheek to Cheek, debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Album Charts, making Bennett the oldest artist in music history, at the age of 88, to earn that top spot. Bennett is also the author of four books and a gifted visual artist with three of his original paintings in the permanent collection of the Smithsonian Institution. Bennett is a proponent of arts education and through his non-profit, Exploring the Arts, funds and supports arts education in public high schools.
