HW Pick: SundanceTV And Rooftop Films Free Screenings For Halloween

October 5, 2015

fench horror filmsIt’s not in Harlem, but we love that the SundanceTV has partnered with Rooftop Films to bring French horror drama series “The Returned” to New York City via several free events in advance of the show’s second season premiere on Halloween.

These events include an outdoor screening of the series’ pilot episode on Thursday, October 8 at 7:00 PM at The Bushwick Generator. Fans will also enjoy live music prior to the film, a pre-screening reception sponsored by New Amsterdam Vodka and Brewery Ommegang, as well as a curated set of short horror films from Rooftop Films. A selection of these shorts will also appear on sundance.tv, as part of the website’s short film festival.

Rooftop Films will debut the second season premiere episode of “The Returned” later in the month in Brooklyn. This marks the episode’s exclusive U.S. screening prior to its Halloween on-air premiere and will also be accompanied by a series of short horror films from Rooftop Films’ collection, along with live music and a pre-screening reception.

Both events are free with RSVP. Event info and RSVP details are available here.

Online at www.sundance.tv, on demand and mobile.
