The Urban Farming Institute of Boston and Boston Mayor Martin J. Walsh invite you to attend the historic groundbreaking of Boston’s newest Urban Farm site — The Garrison-Trotter Farm, named after William Lloyd Garrison, and  William Monroe Trotter. This is the first urban farm site. This is the first urban farm site launched in Boston since the passage of the “right to farm statute” known as Article 89.

This event is sponsored by the Urban Farming Institute of Boston in partnership with The City of Boston Department of Neighborhood Development, The Trust for Public Land and the Dudley Neighborhood Initiative.

The Urban Farming Institute is proudly supported by the Kendall Foundation, Eos Foundation, Massachusetts Department of Agricultural Resources, Citizens Bank Foundation, Project Bread, Merck Family Fund, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts and Eastern Bank Charitable Foundation.

The Urban Farming Institute, with Boston Mayor Martin Walsh, will hold a Friday, July 11 at 1 pm groundbreaking ceremony for its newest urban farm site.
